
Responsibilities:
- Perform Clinical Risk Management education seminars on a regular basis.
- Provide Clinical Risk Management consultations for insureds as needed, both medical, dental and hospital based clients.
- Identify ways to leverage risk expertise & industry knowledge to provide a marketing advantage.
- Assist the sales team members to address customer specific Clinical Risk Management needs.
- Assist in the development of new and maintain existing business by engaging with customers and associates.
- Develop relationships that will strengthen ties with customers or prospects.
- Organize, plan and execute on-site (or phone) reviews of customers / prospects.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing criteria on which risk management reviews are based.
- Prepare client specific reports using a standardized reporting template for consistency.
- Respond to inquiries by insureds on Clinical Risk Management issues with appropriate documentation.
- Contribute to clinical risk management publications as needed.
- Identify and develop marketing opportunities to leverage Clinical Risk Management expertise to enhance customer touch points on an ongoing basis.
- Identify opportunities to reduce, eliminate or outsource activities of the department allowing for improved efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree and/or experience in an education, journalism and/or clinical area, such as nursing, essential
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the health care industry, preferably in clinical risk management
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable about loss control approaches for medical and dental exposures
- Proven networking abilities
- Travel required
- Insurance industry and medical malpractice product knowledge, with focus on loss control for medical and dental exposures
- Some experience in a healthcare facilities environment
- Sales and marketing experience
- Advanced PC Skills in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
