Requirements:

The Chicago office of the Midwest Region has an opening for an E&S Excess & Umbrella Underwriter. Responsibilities include achieving production, growth and profit goals, developing and reinforcing favorable broker relationships, delivering timely response time on submissions, providing outstanding customer service, managing market initiatives and providing support and backup to fellow teammates.

Requirements for this position include a minimum of 5-7 years of experience underwriting excess & umbrella accounts. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong analytical and reasoning abilities. A commitment to providing superior customer service and achieving individual, team, and company goals is essential. Excellent PC skills are required. A college degree is preferred. An insurance industry designation such as CPCU is a plus. Familiarity and/or prior work experience with wholesale brokers in the Midwest also a plus.

Travel - up to 25%.
